Virtual CD v4.5 free of charge to v4 users.
The main new feature in Virtual CD v4.5 is an API allowing to make functionalities of Virtual CD available in your own applications and those of your customers. The API provides unsurpssed flexibility and user friendlyness when using CDs/DVDs in networks, enterprises and at home! Please download Virtual CD v4.5 here.
All customers owning a valid license code of Virtual CD may use the same license code to release a permanent version of Virtual CD v4.5. They do not have to delete the older version of Virtual CD but may use the "repair" option to install it.
A new version v4.3 is available with many improvements: Advanced support of copy protected CD titles and increased CD read-out speed. Optimized Plug&Play drivers avoid reboot when changing virtual CD drive configuration. Central management of virtual CDs in a network environment allows to centrally insert/eject virtual CDs. Separation of virtual CDs in local and global view: A Laptop user may have his locally stored virtual CD images in the local folder and images located in the network in the global view. Also administrators may first test new images locally before making them available to the public by transferring it to the global view. External (Firewire/USB) physical CD drives are supported now as well.
